about Emy
Emy Coligado started her career in musical theatre. She was on Broadway in Miss Saigon for over a year. During that time she discovered her love for comedy while doing sketch at Caroline's Comedy Club and The Duplex. She decided to move to LA to pursue tv/film and hit the road running with two recurring roles. She recurred on the critically acclaimed FOX show, Malcolm in the Middle, for 6 years, playing fan-favorite, Piama, wife of the oldest son, Francis. At the same time she was also recurring on Crossing Jordan for 6 seasons. Emy has had a number of series regular roles on ABC and NBC pilots. Some of her other TV credits include Based On A True Story, The Good Fight, & Archive 81 to name a few. She’s had the pleasure of working with the Farrelly Brothers on the feature film, The Three Stooges and with other inspiring directors like Wim Wenders & Howard Deutch. You can currently catch her on Apple TV+’s The Changeling starring LaKeith Stanfield & a Filipino-American musical film called The Girl Who Left Home (Amazon Prime).
