about Emy
Emy Coligado started her career in NY performing in musical theater. She performed in the Broadway production of “Miss Saigon.” She later discovered her love for comedy while in a sketch comedy show at Caroline's Comedy Club and The Duplex. Emy then moved to LA to pursue tv/film. She has had recurring roles including the critically acclaimed FOX show, "Malcolm in the Middle" where she played Piama, the wife of the oldest son, Francis. At the same time she was also recurring on “Crossing Jordan.” She has had a number of series regular roles on ABC and NBC pilots. Notable tv credits include "The Good Fight," "Claws," "Fresh Off The Boat," “Shameless," & films include "The Three Stooges," & "Miss Congeniality 2" to name a few. She has worked with directors such as the Farrelly Brothers, Wim Wenders & Howard Deutch. Current projects that are streaming are The Girl Who Left Home (all platforms), The Good Fight (Paramount+), Archive 81 (Netflix), The Catch (Amazon Prime), & First One In (Amazon Prime). Future projects include The Changeling starring LaKeith Stanfield (AppleTV) & several musicals that are being workshopped.
